Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology
Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Oncology focuses on cancer patients ages 15-39 years. Often the cancers that develop in people in this age range are those that typically affect children. Young adults also respond to cancer therapy differently than older adults and do best with treatments designed with these differences in mind.
Our AYA Oncology Program specializes in treating cancers typically found in children, while tailoring both cancer treatment and comprehensive care to the specific needs of young adults. Cancer is different in this age group – but so is life: your work, school, relationships, and living situation are all things you need your cancer team to understand and support.
