• Retirement
  MSU is dedicated to offering you the best possible retirement plans, and we encourage you to take advantage of the retirement savings options available to you. The university offers Fidelity and TIAA as providers of administration, recordkeeping and investment options for each of the MSU retirement plans. Both companies offer resources and tools to help participants plan their investment strategy.
  
  The university’s 403(b) Retirement Plan includes the MSU 403(b) Base Retirement Program and the MSU 403(b) Supplemental Retirement Program. These programs, as well as the MSU 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan, are designed to help you invest more money today to help you have the income you need during your retirement. Retirement plans are offered year round, and coverage can be added and modified outside of the Open Enrollment period.

• Health Care Assistant (Certified Medical Assistant)

  Level: 07
  
  Greets patients, obtains basic treatment information (including records chief complaint, takes vital signs and health information, and performs routine tests and procedures including venipuncture, blood pressures, pulse rates, respirations, weights and heights.), performs and assists with routine medical procedures, and performs clerical activities in order to assist in maintaining clinic flow. Updates and files medical records, verifies insurance coverage and collects payments from patients. Monitors supply inventory and orders per guidelines.
• Health Care Representative
  Union: CTU
  Level: 07
  
  Performs administrative functions for a clinic or medical office through knowledge of medical terminology and applications. Works in a variety of roles that combine both direct and indirect patient care duties. Serves patients by greeting and assisting with scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts and obtaining and verifying patient insurance eligibility to ensure timely and accurate payment of service. Processes patient arrivals to adhere to scheduling timeframes and support office operations.
• Nurse Manager

  Manages and oversees the financial, operational and personnel activities of a health care clinic(s) or clinical research unit(s). Provides and supervises direct nursing and patient care, counseling and instruction.
