MSU HealthTeam is the multi-specialty group practice comprised of teaching faculty from Michigan State University’s Colleges of Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Nursing, which are all actively engaged in teaching, research and direct patient care.
MSU HealthTeam is an organization of approximately 260 providers from 14 clinical departments, and many allied health professionals such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, therapists and nutritionists.
Our main location, the MSU Clinical Center, situated on the MSU campus in East Lansing, offers multiple primary and specialty services, as well as pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services.
MSU HealthTeam operates eight primary care locations offering pediatrics, internal medicine and family medicine.
With more than 40 clinics, operating in six convenient locations, we provide sought after advanced care from sports medicine to highly specialized neurological services.
The MSU Breslin Cancer Center, a Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium founding member, is an outpatient cancer center which treats thousands of patients each year, and is located on the McLaren Greater Lansing campus.
In 2014, we opened the Women’s Imaging Center on the sixth floor of the Hannah Technology and Research Center. As a facility dedicated to women’s health it provides mammography, biopsies, bone density scanning and ultrasound.
We bring new modalities of care to mid-Michigan through vital partnerships such as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with Sparrow Hospital. Started in 2011, this state-of-the-art unit monitors patients around the clock and helps providers pinpoint the cause and type of their epilepsy, to provide better treatment.
Through MSU Student Health Services, our providers serve the student population at the Olin Student Health building and at four neighborhood clinics.
We connect patients to 7 Clinical MRIs , 2 PET-CTs, and CT sites through a combination of independent facilities and joint ventures.
We have full general diagnostic imaging capabilities at four locations and digital mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and interventional services.
Our providers treat patients at both Sparrow Hospital and McLaren Greater Lansing, in addition to several outlying community hospitals around the greater Lansing area and the state. In fact, our providers are credentialed to provide care at several health care locations throughout the state of Michigan.
We provide on average 191,586* patient visits each year from our primary and specialty care locations.
Our surgeons perform 24,465* routine and life-saving surgeries each year.
Our two on-campus pharmacies fulfill, on average, 11,000* prescription medications each month to MSU HealthTeam patients, MSU employees and students.
