MSU Health Care Facts

MSU Health Care is a fully-integrated academic health system comprised of teaching faculty from Michigan State University’s Colleges of Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Nursing, many of which are actively engaged in teaching, research and direct patient care.

MSU Health Care leverages its owned and affiliate locations to deliver exceptional care across the State of Michigan. The Spartan Network includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and therapists connecting care at the bench and bedside to advanced research in Michigan State University and affiliate laboratories across the globe.

Facilities

Our main location is situated one block from the MSU campus in East Lansing at 4660 South Hagadorn Road. In a single location, patients can access sports medicine, orthopedic surgeons, allergy and immunology, pediatric pulmonology, neuromusculoskeletal medicine care supported by laboratory, imaging, and pharmacy.

Within one block, the areas largest neurology-ophthalmology practice diagnose and manage neurological diseases from headache, stroke, seizures, Parkinson's and dementia to some of the rarest: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington's disease.

MSU Health Care operates six primary care locations offering pediatrics, internal medicine and family medicine.

With more than 40 clinics, operating in six convenient locations, we provide sought after advanced care from surgery to highly specialized neurological services.

The MSU Breslin Cancer Center, a Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium founding member, is an outpatient cancer center that treats thousands of patients each year, and is located on the McLaren Greater Lansing campus.

Progressive Treatments

The Women’s Imaging Center on the sixth floor of the Hannah Technology and Research Center is dedicated to women’s health through: mammography, biopsies, bone density scanning and ultrasound.

We bring new modalities of care to mid-Michigan through vital partnerships such as the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with Sparrow Hospital. Started in 2011, this state-of-the-art unit monitors patients around the clock and helps providers pinpoint the cause and type of their epilepsy, to provide better treatment.

Clinical Excellence

Through MSU Student Health Services, our providers serve the student population at the Olin Student Health building and at four neighborhood clinics.

We connect patients to 7 Clinical MRIs, 2 PET-CTs, and CT sites through a combination of independent facilities and joint ventures.

We have full general diagnostic imaging capabilities at four locations and digital mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and interventional services.

Our providers treat patients at both Sparrow Hospital and McLaren Greater Lansing, in addition to several outlying community hospitals around the greater Lansing area and the state.
