MSU HealthTeam welcomes our newest faculty member, Dr. Mathew Saffarian, to his full time position. A graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at MSU, Dr. Saffarian also completed his residency with MSU. Dr. Saffarian is also fellowship-trained in Electromyography, Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine. He was appointed chief resident his last year of residency.
As a member of the Greater Lansing community for the past ten years, Dr. Saffarian has translated his clinical interest for treating athletic injuries into complementary volunteer roles benefiting the community, and include: A youth soccer coach from 2006-2010, medical director for the 2013 World Dwarf games at MSU, four years as team physician for MSU club women's hockey, and one year as MSU club men's soccer.
Dr. Saffarian joins our multi-specialty group as a board-certified Physiatrist. He is adding to our complement of over 260 providers, performing cutting-edge research, teaching medical and nursing students, and providing exceptional care to the Greater Lansing community.
