The spring green-up is here and with it comes allergy season.

Dr. Denise Hershey a family nurse practitioner with MSU Health Care says the lack of cold and increase of precipitation will make the common cause of allergies even worse.

Dr. Hershey said, " When we have a warmer winter and a more moisture winter we will have an increase in mold and you will also have an increase in pollens.”

Dr. Hershey said she sees patients every day with allergy-related issues and one of the biggest misconceptions she finds is that people think you are born with certain allergies.
