Ingham Regional Medical Center (IRMC) has 483 acute care
beds and 49 sub acute-care beds spread between two campuses
located in the southern residential district of Lansing.
IRMC is a teaching hospital affiliated with the College
of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine
at Michigan State University. IRMC is a community-based,
university-affiliated teaching hospital, rated among the
top 5% nationally among non-government, acute care hospitals
by HealthGrades for quality care and clinical excellence.
It offers general medical care and specialized services
in Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, Orthopedics, Hematology
and Oncology.

Hospital Program. The Premier Award for Quality is a
national award honoring clinical excellence in quality
of care and operating efficiency. Ingham Regional Medical
Center and Ingham Regional Orthopedic Hospital are part
of McLaren Health Care, mid-Michigan’s largest
health care system serving a 25-county region.
While at IRMC, Internal Medicine residents
rotate on general medicine and subspecialty rotations.
IRMC is home to the MSU Breslin Cancer Clinic, the primary
training site for the Department’s Hematology-Oncology
