Our team of physicians, nurses and support staff at
MSU Internal Medicine are committed to providing exceptional

Breslin
Cancer Center
Cancer is an "up close and personal" disease
that demands prompt and thorough diagnosis, effective
treatment and ongoing medical management. Based at the
Ingham Regional Medical Center site, the MSU Breslin Cancer
Clinic is a full-service, community based outpatient cancer
care facility in Lansing, with a reach that extends throughout
the nation through its participation in clinical trials.
Oncologists, nurses and the entire cancer treatment team
become part of each patient's "family" support
system.
The
following are just a few of the benefits offered to
patients:
-
Interdisciplinary team approach for coordinated, comprehensive,
individualized treatment planning.
-
Dedicated chemotherapy outpatient infusion center
with certified chemotherapy nurses.
-
On-site pharmacist who mixes all chemotherapy regimens
and is available to answer patients' questions about
medications at home, thereby allowing them to remain
more independent in their treatment.
-
Clinical trials office which seeks matches for patients
who qualify for regional or nationally approved clinical
trials. Such trials offer qualified patients experimental
therapies that either complement or provide outcomes
that exceed current standard treatment.
-
An on-site Social Worker who works with patients on
an individual and group basis to provide support to
them and their families before, during and after their
treatment.
-
Around-the-clock medical management provided by 24-hour
on-call oncologist to address medical emergencies
and needs that occur after hours.
-
Partnerships with the Ingham Regional Medical Center
inpatient oncology unit and the Radiation Oncology
program.
