The College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University and Sparrow Hospital are pleased to announce a newly accredited Fellowship in Infectious Disease. The faculty of Michigan State University will supervise fellows and will evaluate and manage inpatients at Sparrow Hospital, a 530-bed regional referral center. As part of the program, Fellows will have significant teaching and leadership responsibilities with Internal Medicine residents and CHM medical students in the area of Infectious Diseases. Fellows will also be involved in various research projects either through MSU or in cooperation with Sparrow Hospital. MSU has established researchers in the fields of antibiotic pharmacodynamics, bacterial pathogenesis, food safety and toxicology, changes intestinal microbiota in settings of health and disease, and clinical research. Other research opportunities are available through the College of Veterinary Medicine or the Department of Microbiology for appropriate candidates.
